There is a story that inspired the creation of this project.
It revolves around how creative challenges and difficulties serve as the foundation for new ideas. Despite my extensive experience working in this style—developing it with each new project, creating a unique style—I sometimes find it challenging to capture a specific shot or precise movement, spending hours or even days stubbornly searching for the right moment.
This experience occurred last fall when I was commissioned for a commercial shoot in Seoul, spanning three days. The central idea was to capture a shot where two colorful balls on a clean, colorful background merge into one large ball. Although it sounds simple, no matter what I tried, I couldn't achieve the desired shot. Various attempts resulted in colorful balls bursting and leaving a bright spot at the bottom, or the colorful balls freezing side by side only to burst later.
Throughout those shooting days, a bursting colorful balls became a genuine nightmare for me. Despite capturing many beautiful shots, the main footage remained elusive. It was only on the last day of filming that I finally obtained the required shots of merging colorful balls, and it was more a stroke of chance and luck than anything else.
A couple of months later, after experimenting with various ingredients, I discovered an easy and stable method for attracting colorful balls to each other, causing them to merge without bursting. Mastering this technique allowed me to turn flaws into advantages playfully. Now, instead of seeing a bursting colorful balls as a nightmare, I perceive it as a bright and colorful explosion reminiscent of fireworks.
Additionally, the bokeh effect plays a significant role in this video. Some people criticize me for not having sharp work, citing a small depth of field. However, I've never viewed this as a problem; on the contrary, I see it as a form of beauty.
